Reserve forward Boris Diaw had surgery on Thursday to remove a synovial cyst from his lumbar spine, the Spurs announced Friday

Well, the Spurs don't really need him for the first round, so I guess that's ok. I can see Blair getting some time against the Warriors or Rockets. If it's the Lakers, that's not good.

Luckily removing a cyst is a very non evasive and simple procedure. Shouldn't be out too long. I heard on the tv tonight that he would be ready for the second round.

The Rockets in the 1st round actually should be a pretty good match up for Bonner. The fact that they play next to zero defense should give him plenty of the wide open looks that he excels at. He typically fades in the playoffs because defense gets tighter with better teams. I don't think that will be the case with the Rockets.
