ESPN Rumor Steven Adams to Spurs
Why Adams may end up with Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs already have two players -- Patty Mills (Australia) and Aron Baynes (New Zealand) -- from down under and they might add a third in late June.
Steven Adams, a 7-foot center from Pittsburgh, has declared for the NBA draft after just one season at the school and he has a chance to go in the late first round. The Spurs own their late 2013 first round pick and Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette speculates Adams might end up in San Antonio.
Fittipaldo writes: "San Antonio general manager R.C. Buford was at the Petersen Events Center in March for Pitt’s home finale against Villanova. Adams did not play in the game because he sprained an ankle in practice the day before. NBA scouts visit Pitt home games often, but a general manager is more noteworthy. The Spurs also employ Sean Marks in their front office. Marks, a 6-foot-10 journeyman who played in the NBA from 1998 until 2011, is one of only two native New Zealanders to play in the NBA. He is Buford’s director of basketball operations and the general manager of the team’s developmental league franchise."
The Spurs, as they always do, will take the best player on their board and while it's easy to connect-the-dots with them and Adams, they may not be able to afford to use two roster spots on both Baynes and Adams -- should he be available when it comes time for San Antonio to make their first round selection.
Matt Bonner is worse than Dejuan Blair. By a landslide. Blair should be re-signed.
We were going to draft him anyway. Now that this article is out there, portland is definately going to grab him.
He was -11 against a bunch of scrubs.
not really a new rumor. He has been on their radar for a while now.
