Whenever the topic of Chris Paul comes up, my blood pressure always seems to flutter. Ever since the so called ‘kick’ by Bowen on Paul several years back, which ended Bowen’s consecutive game streak, I’ve had utter distain for this dude. As I see it, point guards are rated on several factors with steals and assists being a few of the primary ones. CP3 does get a lot of steals, particularly if you factor in flops which cause offensive fouls or turnovers. But his basic claim to fame has always been his effectiveness to deliver the ‘alley oop’ to his big man or men. He had it in New Orleans with Chandler and now in LA with Griffin and Jordan. If you eliminate the jumping jacks, Paul to me is just another guard who likes to argue with refs when things don’t seem to go his way. IMHO.
