Did anyone hear Jackson and Green for Smith?
 

Has Danny Ferry lost his mind? Only thing I can think is he unloaded Joe Johnson, why not Smith to his good buddy Popovich? Ok...I'm awake now, just dreaming!

I think Chris Broussard said that on a blog post or something. But that just proves he doesn't know what the hell he is talking about.

it's not insane, although i won't buy Broussard's reporting since he's very "general" on it.

let's be realistic though. Hawks aren't going to re-sign him and they'll take any good or decent player to make it happen. teams are going to low ball the Hawks since they know this, so why not ask for a good 3 point shooter to go with Al Horford's inside game or Splitter to compliment Horford in the paint if they can get him long term? right now, Green or Splitter may be the best two trade assets we have over anyone else in the league for a deal like this.

Make a deal to seal Timmy's legacy with #5. In pop we trust. Here's to hoping Ferry does solid by us and delivers Smith for peanuts :)

Maybe thats why we put people in the Spurs orginaztion, treat them great and help the prosper to get jobs of power. And maybe help us out a little....ah hem...Jerry West, Pau Gasol! I don't think the league wants to see this one go down. Stay out of this Stern!
