By Ben Golliver The NBA announced the fields for the Slam Dunk Contest, the Three-Point Contest, and other 2013 All-Star Weekend events on Thursday. The Slam Dunk Contest field: Gerald Green (Pacers), Terrence Ross (Raptors), James White (Knicks), Eric Bledsoe (Clippers), Jeremy Evans (Jazz), Kenneth Faried (Nuggets) The Three-Point Contest field: Paul George (Pacers), Kyrie Irving (Cavaliers), Steve Novak (Knicks), Ryan Anderson (Hornets), Matt Bonner (Spurs), Stephen Curry (Warriors) The Skills Challenge is a timed obstacle course that involves dribbling around cones, passing through targets and making lay-ups. The Skills Challenge field: Jrue Holiday (Sixers), Brandon Knight (Pistons), Jeff Teague (Hawks), Damian Lillard (Blazers), Jeremy Lin (Rockets), Tony Parker (Spurs) The Shooting Stars competition involves an NBA player, a WNBA player and a retired player shooting from various locations on the court. Team Bosh: Chris Bosh, Dominique Wilkins, Swin Cash Team Lopez: Brook Lopez, Muggsy Bogues, Tamika Catchings Team Harden: James Harden, Sam Cassell, Tina Thompson Team Westbrook: Russell Westbrook, Robert Horry, Maya Moore Finally, the Rising Stars Challenge, which takes place on Friday night and was formerly known as the Rookie/Sophomore challenge, will feature nine rookies and nine sophomores mixed together in a draft by Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley. Roster pool candidates were announced last week and the final teams were announced Thursday. Team Shaq: Damian Lillard (Blazers), Kyrie Irving (Cavaliers), Andre Drummond (Pistons), Klay Thompson (Warriors), Harrison Barnes (Warriors), Chandler Parsons (Rockets), Dion Waiters (Cavaliers), Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (Bobcats), Tyler Zeller (Cavaliers), Kemba Walker (Bobcats) Team Chuck: Anthony Davis (Hornets), Kenneth Faried (Nuggets), Kawhi Leonard (Spurs), Bradley Beal (Wizards), Ricky Rubio (Timberwolves), Tristan Thompson (Cavaliers), Nikola Vucevic (Magic), Brandon Knight (Pistons), Isaiah Thomas (Kings), Alexey Shved (Timberwolves) All-Star Saturday — comprised of the Shooting Stars, Skills Challenge, Three-Point Contest and Dunk Contest — will include a running competition between the conferences for charity. Heat guard Dwyane Wade and Clippers guard Chris Paul will captain the Eastern and Western Conference, respectively. 2013 All-Star Weekend runs from Feb. 15-17 in Houston’s Toyota Center. So, Spurs representing at All Star Weekend: Matt Bonner, Kawhi Leonard, Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, Gregg Popovich, and former Spur Robert Horry. Did I leave anyone out? I'm looking forward to the Rising Stars challenge - love the showcase of young talent.

Global pop music sensation Ke$ha, Grammy Award-winner hip hop artist Ludacris and Grammy Award-nominated hip hop artist B.o.B will help tip off the 2013 NBA All-Star Game when they perform during the Sprint NBA All-Star Pregame Concert on Sunday, Feb. 17. The Sprint Pregame Concert, which will be held at the NBA All-Star Jam Session Sprint Arena in Houston's George R. Brown Convention Center, will lead up to TNT's exclusive telecast of the 62nd NBA All-Star Game at 8 p.m. ET. Hip hop superstars, Ludacris and B.o.B will open the show with a live performance during NBA TV's coverage of the Sprint Pregame Concert beginning at 6 p.m.ET, prior to TNT's pregame coverage. Ke$ha will hit the stage to perform during the live telecast on TNT starting at 7 p.m. ET. The Sprint NBA All-Star Pregame Concert will cap off a week of Sprint All-Star activities in Houston. Saturday, Feb 9, the NBA All-Star E-Recycling Day presented by Sprint was held at Discovery Green. The Sprint NBA All-Star Celebrity Game then will air live on ESPN from the Sprint Arena at NBA All-Star Jam Session on Friday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. ET. The game will feature celebrities from film, TV and music, as well as NBA legends and WNBA players.
