| I don't know where other D-League teams are in relationship to thier NBA team, but it seems that having the team in Austin is a huge advantage for the Spurs.

Definitely. Excellent training grounds to send new players, who might normally sit at the end of the bench or behind it, to get some playing experience and time to learn the Spurs defensive/offensive schema or any player who is rehabing an injury to slowly get back their legs, ie., Kawhi Leonard of late. Baynes will be able to get his playing legs back, plus fine tune his skills against good competition and stay active rather than sit the bench for long periods of time. Since he's under contract and if his first game (technically 2nd game) stats are, he'll be back for the playoff run, no doubt about it.

| Didn't Nando just play one game each time he was sent there and recalled? And both games were home games in Austin? I think the intention is for Aron to be with the Austin for a decent stretch of time. Not the the same to me but who knows.

Well, looks like this might be a short assignment with Timmay going down last night. Although i guess this does not necessitate bringing him back because we still have splits and diaw starting with db and bonner coming off the bench and then jackson playing the stretch... hmmm. id like to see him get some pt with the big boys leading up to the all star break.
