Timmy and Tony make the all stars
well deserved among others who deserve it as well
NBA All-Star reserves:
WEST- Tony Parker, Zach Randolph, James Harden, LaMarcus Aldridge, Russell Westbrook, Tim "Mother *******" Duncan, David Lee.
EAST- Tyson Chandler, Chris Bosh, Jrue Holiday, Paul George, Kyrie Irving, Luol Deng, Joakim Noah.
hell ya...TIM M************DUNCAN
I imagine for Parker, who is single, this is a fun weekend. For Duncan, who has a family, he is probably pissed that he doesn't get to go to the virgin Islands.
TIMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY is IN!!!!
One Heck of a Choice for the Coaches!
And TONYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!! :clap
Congrats to both! :celebrate
Not one but TWO All Stars Representing our Spurs! :D
Very Very Very Welll Deserved!!!!!!!
I don't care what anyone else says!
Go Spurs Go
The leaders of the teams with the best winning percentage in their conference through games of Feb. 3 will be the coaches. Miami's Erik Spoelstra has the inside track on the East spot, while San Antonio's Gregg Popovich and the Clippers' Vinny Del Negro are battling for the West honor since Scott Brooks, whose Thunder have the league's best record, is ineligible after coaching last year.
It would be fun if Pop coaches this year the ASG!
Of course Pop might not care at all, but us the fans would like that..:D
Barkley NO to Spurs!
This season, again, Barkley thinks no Spur should be on the All-Star team. And after his TNT peers kidded him about that — and he continued to try to defend his opinion —Barkley repeated what he said last year.
Barkley worked the game Monday in Philly where he once played, and he received a standing ovation when the Sixers aired a video tribute to him. And during the telecast he tried to explain why he didn’t think even one Spur deserved a spot: He just wants to give some of the young guys a turn.
He mostly talked about Parker, and how he preferred the Clippers’ backup, Jamal Crawford. Crawford has had an outstanding season, and he’s a favorite to be the sixth-man of the year. So an argument can be made, and the Clippers are making it. The team has sent a fact sheet to coaches highlighting what Crawford has done.
Barkley thinks Golden State’s David Lee and both Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph of Memphis should be All-Stars instead of Duncan.

Barkley's an idiot.
Maybe I should write a letter to TNT citing there are numerous choices out there that could do a better job of basketball analyst than Barkley and give my reasons for my choices. But TNT would probably respond that they stick with him because when he eventually does get his point across he creates controversy and that’s healthy for conversation and discussion. One day Chuck will embarrass TNT and they’ll cut him loose and then he’ll have more time to blow his millions at the Vegas tables and practice his golf swing.
It's like San Antonio, but better :P
Pop On D!
Others, notably TNT analyst Charles Barkley and USA Today’s Sam Amick, have suggested that Spurs point guard Tony Parker did not merit a spot on the Western Conference All-Star team ahead of Golden State’s Stephen Curry.
Available for comment for the first time in more than a week, Popovich on Tuesday strongly disagreed. In fact, Popovich asserted that Parker, averaging 20.1 points and 7.5 assists and shooting 52.7 percent from the field for the team with the league’s best record, has been the NBA’s best point guard this season.
“There’s no question that Tony is the guy,” Popovich said. “I think he’s probably played better than any point guard in the league, if you want to be totally frank. It’s hard to pick somebody who’s had a better year than he’s had at that position.
“There’s always going to be people who had good half years like ‘Steph’ had. There are other people who have played well enough to be on the All-Star team. In the West, especially, it’s tough. There are a lot of good teams and a lot of good players.”

Pop's magic number to clinch the "honors" of coaching the West: *ONE*
...so, after tonight we might have three SA reps at the ASG main event--no offense to the Red Mamba.
B. Lopez All-Star!
Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez has been named by NBA Commissioner David Stern to replace injured East All-Star Rajon Rondo of the Boston Celtics in the 2013 NBA All-Star Game in Houston. Lopez, who will make his first All-Star Game appearance, is averaging 18.6 points and 7.3 rebounds in 38 games for the Nets who stand in second place in the Atlantic Division with a 27-18 record.
