Samuel Dalembert?
 

This guy is not playing any minutes in Milwaukee, where he is a 7' guy that will take up space. Say Joseph, Blair, and a 2nd round pick. Dalembert makes 6.7 million. I'm desperate for a big to complement our guards. Blair and Bonner are done! I just wouldn't think anybody would be dumb enough to trade for Bonner, so we're stuck with him :banghead

IF they'd take that package, i'd say yes, but Dalembert is frustrated because he's not one of the main options and he won't be that here either. i don't think he's better than Splitter than Splitter at this point and Tiago is starting next to Duncan.

Pop is running a 3 man big rotation with occasional small ball to spot the bigs some minutes. Dalembert won't be happy here as the 4th option and if we need to go small, the other 3 would be a more viable option with their defense, speed, quickness, and intangibles than Dalembert.

Very good points! I just hope we unload some of our pieces to get that other big that might put us over the top. I feel our team as is will fall short when it comes to bigs. I do feel we have the guards to compete for a championship though. I also feel Duncan is carrying the load on defense way too much.

The pieces I would be willing to give up are Joseph, Blair/Bonner, Euro/draftpick. I wouldn't give up any other player on our roster though, Patty possibly. Not much to work with though on our side!

There is this thing called a salary cap. You would have to give up a lot more salary to even entertain this idea.

Yeah I get that, we'd have to get creative.

One way or the other, we are going to need 2 guys who can protect the paint area, or we all will be back on this site come June bickering about there was no one to help Duncan. So the only way that happens is someone is going to have to get axed. But I believe if Tiago doesn't show when we need him, the Spurs might not resign him.

Tiago is showing up at the moment, the only issue is the help behind the TD/Splitter front court.... the help after that is good just undersized.

If we get another young big, he'd be the one in the future to replace Tim and it would be nice to have a 3rd to go with TD and Tiago these 6'9" and below interior guys just don't cut it...

odds are by that theory we're going to be bickering anyway. if we need two other guys beside Duncan/Splitter, that means we have to replace Diaw, Bonner, and Blair with someone better than Diaw to make a difference and that's a pipe dream. we are running a shorter rotation and playing better defense with everyone knowing their role, so we have the best chance with this squad to win a title than making a trade or two and giving up valuable pieces for one in return.

I like it but his d needs to be better cuz I dont think his is better then Diaw's but I dont see him on the team if the Bucks dont cut him.

Well, I hope you're right JTG, cause I don't know how many more close calls to a championship I can take. It's just every year it's the same thing... Manhandled the league in the regular season, only to come up short. Duncan needs that 5th to tie Kobe and to shut up my Laker relatives up!
