Spurs Assign Kawhi Leonard to Austin Toros for Rehab Assignment!!!
SAN ANTONIO (December 19, 2012 – The San Antonio Spurs today announced that they have assigned Kawhi Leonard to the Austin Toros of the NBA Development League for a medical rehab assignment. Leonard has been sidelined with quadriceps tendinitis, left knee since Nov. 17.
Prior to the injury, Leonard appeared in nine games for the Silver and Black, averaging 10.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.00 steals in 28.9 minutes.
Leonard will practice with the Toros today and then be re-evaluated by team doctors. At that point, a timeline for his return will be determined.
Thank God. Spurs held up well without Kawhi until this last week when the legs just gave out. We need him back.
Yes Leonard should be pretty good piece when he get back to his normal Leonard!!!!
Interestingly just yesterday I was listening to ESPN radio in San Antonio late afternoon before the Spurs game. They had a guest who is a professional medical staff at a local Medical Facility and that guest said how if it is taking Leonard that long to get over a quadriceps tendinitis, left knee to recover it must be something else associated with it because it should not take that long to recover...
My thinking is that Pop rightfully being super cautious here...
Thank Goodness for Leonard come back. He D is so missing!!!!
Both Leonard & Corey will get much benefit from this good practice esp on a day that Spurs are not having practice to rest the weary other Spurs players.
