The San Antonio Spurs and the NBA will be coordinating a $25,000 fine on Spurs forward Stephen Jackson for some threatening comments made a few days ago on Twitter toward Oklahoma City Thunder forward Serge Ibaka.

Here's the comment from Spurs General Manager R.C. Buford.

"The recent public comments made by Stephen Jackson are absolutely unacceptable, can not be tolerated and do not reflect the standards held by the San Antonio Spurs," said Spurs General Manager RC Buford.

No, Jackson was wrong, needed to be fined. Let's trade that contract out before he loses control in a big moment (i.e. playoffs). Got to be able to get something for 10 million, right?

Captain Jack should know better not to tweet that with all eyes on the Spurs at this time after the LOL Ummm Halloween pics and the $250k on Spurs for Pop's sending 4 players home on a B2B nationally televised game!

But Hey at least no suspension of games for Jack!

I don't want to trade Captain Jack we need his Toughness on this team!!!!

He is so versatile! I like his size. He can play Defense and he is very athletic. No he will be okay even after this fine. I say we need to keep him.

I would hope they would not trade him. Just let him get healthy and go with him to the playoffs. His money comes off the books this summer.

Jackson definitely deserved the fine, but I don't think I want to dump him just for that.

I wouldn't mind trading him for a better big man, but keep in mind how effective he was for us in the playoffs.

Without him vs OKC we look even worse.

But if we play Miami in the Finals, we'll need all the athletic wings we can get.

He would never do anything to one of his teammates. He defines the phrase...loyal to a FAULT. This controversy is just the downside of Jackson's best attribute, but if someone tries to play Timmy or Tony dirty, I'm glad he's there to get their back.

He's easily one of my all time favorite Spurs players.

I was making a joke about the phrase, "get in ya mouth". To me it sounds overly sexual. I didn't mean literally.
