Stephen Jackson will be out of the Spurs line up 4-6 weeks due to a pinky fracture on his right hand against the Clippers.

| I think Pop mentioned postgame that they will probably call him up and Green and Ginobili will be stuck with the burden of having to play some SF.

I think the Spurs are going to have to run 3 guard sets until Leonard and Jackson return. Larry Brown used to do that with the Sixers, and I think a bench of De Colo, Mills, and Joseph will do the job well for the next month... not great / not terrible but it will be good to get these young, un familiar with spurs system some playing time.

Hoopshype ran a bit about Pop saying the Spurs would be calling up Joseph, so let's see, we're out two SF so we call up a 2nd year PG. someone please explain this logic to me.

Get Well Captain Jack! I would rather he gets hurt now than later in the season. Spurs FO MUST bring a 10 day contract player to somehow help out ASAP!

| Kawai will be back in about 10 days and the options for signings at SF are worse than just having our guards play out of position. That said, if we are able to move Jackson's expiring contract for a big man, we should at least be trying to see if his replacement is out there.

diaw stated the league as an SF, maybe SF/PF from what i remember. then he got fat. he surely aint no center... that was jst a transformation while he was w/ the suns. atleast thats how i remember it. anyways, would be cool to see Neal in a pure shooting roll in teh SF spot. surely there will be defensive issues w/ that with size but i like the idea of, offensively, seeing him spot up and pop. parker neal green duncan blair mills/decolo ginobili diaw splitter/boner |

Where is that UK forward guy the Spurs had signed a while back? Also this news bit crossed the wires tonight... Free agent center Eddy Curry has received interest from several NBA teams, according to sources close to the situation. Five teams have been in contact with Curry and expressed some level of interest in his services. Curry last played with the Dallas Mavericks, averaging 4.5 points and 2.0 rebounds in two games earlier this season. He was released by the Mavericks two weeks ago so that the team could open a roster spot to sign Troy Murphy. http://www.hoopsworld.com/nba-pm-wal...king-progress/ |
