The San Antonio Spurs today announced that Kawhi Leonard is suffering from quadriceps tendinitis in his left knee. The diagnosis was confirmed in an MRI which was performed earlier today. Leonard is expected to be out of action for 10-14 days. He is not scheduled to travel with the Spurs on the team’s upcoming six-game road trip that begins on Wednesday, Nov. 21 in Boston.

Let's hope it is not a serious thing.

Tendinitis can be painful if not rested well.

Get Well Kawhi! :thumb

That is okay other Spurs players would hold the Fort!
Thank Goodness for the Deep Bench!

Into every life a little rain must fall --- I just didn't think it would happen to Kawhi this soon.

It may be ugly at first but I think DeColo needs to be worked into playing time now. I see the benefits down the road near the end of the season if Manu and/or Mills are not getting it done and Parker needs a breather.

Could be worse, this could have happened in March....

Did Leonard appear hurt last game? If not do you think it is a ploy to ease in Nano? Every year something like this happens. It's possible looking too much into this.

Nope Kawhi is a WARRIOR and he would play if he could!

Pop said at the interview that Leonard had been playing with such injury for some time. Finally it flared up real bad and started to hurt so badly that Leonard told the coaches so they HAD to get him off the court to rest it up.

Sean Elliott said at the game that long REST should heal it up.

So I guess in 2 weeks or so we could get Kawhi back if he followed their advice and rested it well..

Some rest, a couple of aspirins, and he will be OK.

katyspursfan 11-19-12 05:03 PM

He just needs to rub some dirt on it. Get back in there.
