The San Antonio Spurs are at it again.....

It’s near impossible to excite casual basketball fans about the San Antonio Spurs.

You can try to wax poetic on the systematic beauty of the Spurs' offense or the precision of their defense, but those are abstractions that can’t be easily captured by a YouTube clip or illustrated on a screensaver.

How rare is this? An outsider has actually made intelligent observations about the Spurs' execution.

Following through to the how the offence actually runs was very interesting.

Hollinger is pretty good at this.

He just gets a bad rep because he was brave enough to mention the decline of the Spurs defense as it was happening, and before it was obvious.

If you read Hollinger as a guy writing from a purely statistical (ignoring emotional) standpoint, he's probably right more often than not. From a statistical view. Which means WAY more than 50%.

Last year, the San Antonio Spurs were Thunderstruck in OKC

But this year we will have our revenge.
We will be the THUNDER BUSTERS!

Great article and so early too with NY, Miami and LA enjoying all the hype. Spurs also #1 in power rankings. Now hope they come to play tomorrow in LA - if so they'll win easily.
