According to Peter Vecsey... Peter Vecsey: Should Mike Brown not make it through the season it's safe to assume Danny Ferry will hire him 2 coach Hawks (Drew lame duck) next season. Twitter @PeterVecsey1 |

| Agreed. A lot like Rex Ryan of the jets. Great defensive guy but offers little else

Vescey isn't reliable at all. if Danny Ferry hires him to be the head coach in Atlanta, this will just go on top of his Cleveland failings. Mike Brown isn't a head coach. he's an assistant coach strictly for defensive purposes.

Many within NBA circles believe it’s only a matter of time before Brown is fired. Jerry Sloan and Mike D’Antoni are two names that have surfaced as possible replacements for Brown. “Jerry Sloan to L.A. by December 1,” one league source predicted. “Nash and Howard are the new Stockton and Malone. He wants a ring, not to mention the money. He didn’t seriously consider Orlando, Charlotte or Portland [openings] over the summer because he knew Los Angeles would open up.” NBA PM: Mike Brown On the Hot Seat | HOOPSWORLD | Basketball News & NBA Rumors |
