Surveying the NBA landscape, Michael Cooper provided a bold prediction. "The Lakers are about to win the championship four years in a row," Cooper said in a phone interview. Cooper, who played for the Lakers from 1978-90, laughed when reminded that former Lakers coach Pat Riley guaranteed a Lakers' repeat during the 1987 NBA championship parade. One year later, Riley appeared clairvoyant. LAKERS NOTEBOOK: Michael Cooper keeps the faith - Press-Telegram |

Well let's see. In 4 years, Steve Nash will be 42, Kobe will be 38, Metta World Peace will be 37 and Antawn Jamison will be 40. Oh yes, and by the way, Nash is doubtful for their next game. |

| OH LORD I hate that guy, I really hate EUGENE FERRY more than anyone on Earth I believe! I am glad he is not there anymore to run his mouth about rivalry week every year when the Spurs play them.

Win five rings. Then you can talk like this to your fans. Kobe Bryant wants Los Angeles Lakers fans to be patient. The team is 0-2, Steve Nash is hurt and coach Mike Brown's system is drawing ire. But Bryant has won five titles with the Lakers, and he is sick of the criticism. "I'll say it for (Brown): Everybody, shut up," Bryant told news reporters in a candid interview at practice Thursday. "Let us work, and at the end of the day, you'll be happy with the result." Kobe Bryant to Lakers critics: 'Everybody, shut up' |

| I hope it doesn't, they all except maybe Nash doesn't deserve it! Kobe has been gifted for quite a time with big men, everytime the team is down they pull off some b.s. headscratcher trade to get him another elite big man. I hope it doesn't work and Dwight bolts to NJ this offseason.
