Which SPUR scored more Olympic basketball points than anyone?

Australia's Patty Mills tops Olympic basketball point-scoring averages | Perth Now

AUSTRALIAN Patty Mills' stellar Olympic Games has been confirmed, finishing top of the point-scoring averages in London ahead of some the world's greatest basketballers.

Not even Kevin Durant's stunning 30-point haul in the United States' gold medal match win over Spain could nudge Mills off the top of the chart for most points per game.

Mills finished with an average of 21.2 points per game, and had the tournament-high score in a match of 39 against Great Britain.
NBA superstar Durant was second to Mills, averaging 19.5 points per game.

But Durant did score more points than any other player in London - partly by virtue of playing eight games to Mills' six after Australia's quarter-final elimination by the eventual gold medallists.

As well as the metronomic Durant, Mills finished ahead of NBA players of the ilk of his San Antonio Spurs teammates Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker, and Spain's Pau Gasol.

Manu probably had more total points by virtue of more games, given his per game average.

I am interested to see how the Spurs use him this year as he is not really a PG, and you want to use that scoring mentality.....

This is like being the tallest midget! Being the best scorer or highest scorer on a bad team is not impressive. Argentina, Spain and the USA are all good teams. Being the leading scorer on those teams is impressive. Patty Mills is the only NBA player on Team Australia. He is going to get all the shots. Not that impressive at all!
