Spain beats France

Spain beats France 66-59, reaches men's hoop semis - Yahoo! Sports.
"LONDON (AP) -- Marc Gasol scored 14 points and brother Pau had two huge blocked shots down the stretch as Spain beat France 66-59 on Wednesday to advance to the semifinals in Olympic men's basketball.
Juan Carlos Navarro added 12 points and Pau Gasol 10 for the Spanish, the 2008 silver medalists who advance to play Russia on Friday.
Trailing 57-54 after Nicolas Batum's basket with 6:51 to play, Spain didn't allow another point until Mickael Gelabale's meaningless jumper with 5.5 seconds remaining, ending a two-game losing streak.
Tony Parker and Boris Diaw each scored 15 points for France, which grew frustrated at the finish and committed two unsportsmanlike fouls in the final half-minute"

To bad they lost, but on the other hand, now the 3 Spurs can get some rest and get ready for the upcoming season ---

Not sure he crumbled or just got worn out. Got to give him credit he carried that team a whole lot further than anyone thought they'd be able to go.

Who is anyone ? People from San Antonio ?… France was supposed to be that good. Don't just listen to NBC. As far as today, TP was tired at the end. And yes, he took some bad shots. But everyone on his team crumbled with him. Once again, Spain was just the better team.

France is usually seen as soft (which you can't argue by their play), so people don't usually put them as favorites.

Parker's just looked way out of shape the whole Olympics. Diaw has looked like he's in better shape than Parker, which is saying something since Boris hasn't been in shape since 2006.

Smh gotta take a shot at Parker every chance you get? Lol...He cant be that "out of shape" since the Spurs went deep in the playoffs...really didnt have time to rest.

It´s not that Tony was out of shape... but those goggles surely took him out of his sweet jumper shot

At least he didn't nut punch someone.... although that could be because he couldn't see well enough to lock in to the spot.
