Alan Hahn Most Knicks fans got a first look at impending signee Pablo Prigioni, the veteran point guard for Argentina who is expected to sign soon. Prigioni had 8 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds in 33 minutes for Argentina, which gave the US a tough battle in an 86-80 friendly. Prigioni has not officially signed yet but reports indicate he has already agreed and some FIBA issues need to be settled. Prigioni, 35, will be the NBAs youngest rookie and should push for rotation minutes behind Raymond Felton and Jason Kidd. So why is he coming to the NBA now after spending his entire career in Europe? He has always wanted to try the NBA and decided to make the move now before he considers retirement.[/list] |
