Getting a big

We make a trade with sacramento

Bonner
Splitter
Byars

For

Thompson
Jason Thompson Stats, News, Videos, Highlights, Pictures, Bio - Sacramento Kings - ESPN

Whiteside
Hassan Whiteside Stats, News, Videos, Highlights, Pictures, Bio - Sacramento Kings - ESPN

Sacramento gets a stretch 4 they need and splitter gives them a veteran 7'er ready to go with cousins and thomas robinson. Byars is depth at their 3.

Spurs get two young bigs. Thompson would look real good next to tim and be our future 4. Whiteside gives us a young 7'er to continue to develop. He is a shot blocker and rebounder right now. Is only 23. Has matured and added weight. Looked good in their first summer league game.

Then we make our golden state trade.

Blair
Neal

For

Jeremy tyler
Jeremy Tyler Stats, News, Videos, Highlights, Pictures, Bio - Golden State Warriors - ESPN

And a future first round pick.

With these trades we get younger and more athletic. We also free up money. Then we sign ajinca. Ajinca and diaw are our stretch 4's our jackson who can go down in small line ups.

Roster:

PG- parker, mills, joseph
SG- green, manu, de colo
SF- leonard, jackson
PF- duncan, diaw, tyler
C - thompson, whiteside, ajinca

They just signed Thomson to an extension which means DUH! The like him a lot.

Why don't you just propose Blair for Dwight Howard. Orlando would want to do it because they are so stupid.

Everyone has to come to the conclusion that the Spurs, aren't getting a Big! They can't even get leftovers.

No need to throw in the towel just yet. Training camp won’t start til about the first of October and the first official regular season game jump ball won’t be until approx. 30Oct2012, so there’s plenty of time to troll the waters for our big man.

All of the NBA teams have had time to choose their draftees and will elevate them during the summer league games and the teams coaching staffs will have an idea of who will fit into their respective team rosters and who they need to dump to make room. Plus, there are other free agents still available who will be picked up by other teams and in some cases, teams will have to make room for them as well.

What’s that old idiom: “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” Don’t think for a minute that the Spurs FO don’t have a dossier on every ‘big’ man in the league, what their contracts are and some idea what is needed to pry them away from their owning team. Of course, the big man that the Spurs want will fit a specific profile and is on a smaller list and the FO are working every possible angle on how to obtain that man with what assets we have available. The Spurs FO haven’t gone fishing, yet, and they know what they need.

The length of last year’s lockout and the short preseason hampered they ability to ‘wheel and deal’ so they had to go with what they already had and hit the court running with the short season. Suffice to say, the Spurs did have a pretty good winning combination where they had dependable players to the last man on the bench. Now, with the lockout behind us and a new season before us, the hunt is still on for that big, so don’t circle the wagons just yet.

The Spurs organization hasn’t been voted the top ‘sports’ franchise for years by sitting on their duffs, they are on the job, they know what they need and I wouldn’t be surprised if they already have their sights on the prize. In the meantime, have a hot tottie for the body.

Shoot, that goes for every thread that has 'Bonner' and 'trade' in the title.

The spurs didn't pick up James Anderson's option and I always saw the rj resigning as a gentlemans agreement. You save us a few bucks right now and we'll pass some of the savings Down to you type of deal.

It's both. They say they really like Thompson, they just signed him to an extension, and yet they are drafting guys to play his position. Makes no sense, but that is Sacramento for you.
