They just signed Thomson to an extension which means DUH! The like him a lot. Why don't you just propose Blair for Dwight Howard. Orlando would want to do it because they are so stupid.

No need to throw in the towel just yet. Training camp won’t start til about the first of October and the first official regular season game jump ball won’t be until approx. 30Oct2012, so there’s plenty of time to troll the waters for our big man. All of the NBA teams have had time to choose their draftees and will elevate them during the summer league games and the teams coaching staffs will have an idea of who will fit into their respective team rosters and who they need to dump to make room. Plus, there are other free agents still available who will be picked up by other teams and in some cases, teams will have to make room for them as well. What’s that old idiom: “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” Don’t think for a minute that the Spurs FO don’t have a dossier on every ‘big’ man in the league, what their contracts are and some idea what is needed to pry them away from their owning team. Of course, the big man that the Spurs want will fit a specific profile and is on a smaller list and the FO are working every possible angle on how to obtain that man with what assets we have available. The Spurs FO haven’t gone fishing, yet, and they know what they need. The length of last year’s lockout and the short preseason hampered they ability to ‘wheel and deal’ so they had to go with what they already had and hit the court running with the short season. Suffice to say, the Spurs did have a pretty good winning combination where they had dependable players to the last man on the bench. Now, with the lockout behind us and a new season before us, the hunt is still on for that big, so don’t circle the wagons just yet. The Spurs organization hasn’t been voted the top ‘sports’ franchise for years by sitting on their duffs, they are on the job, they know what they need and I wouldn’t be surprised if they already have their sights on the prize. In the meantime, have a hot tottie for the body.
