It's been a whirlwind day for the San Antonio Spurs as they re-sign Boris Diaw, Tim Duncan, Patty Mills, and Danny Green while signing French guard Nando De Colo but the march to improve the team continues.

The Spurs still are thin up front especially after Erazem Lorbek decided to stay in Spain and continue play for Barcelona and cash in a huge payday.

We are agreeing to not say CIA Pop too much to cover for not knowing what is going on but whenever I see reported we are after someone I usually ignore it as I can't remember the last time that the press got right who we trade/draft or aquire..... the Spurs do enjoy some good all missinformation so probably a cover for a different or no move.

Hey it may even be Splitter helping a mate out by getting the Spurs to fake pursue so other teams pay more.... bit of competitive tension.

Dallas was going to overpay anyway with how their team looks. he's a very solid center to go along with Dirk.

Most definitely, dallas is the frontrunner when it comes to pay but the money any NBA team offers is more than they are used to. But is SA the frontrunner when it comes to adjusting to the shock of coming to the NBA and the USA when he can have a fellow Brazilian to help him along and speak the language and help him adapt to the culture? Witness TP, Diaw and DeColo who exhibit special emotion when playing with fellow countrymen. Is Splitter's cellphone jammed with calls from the Spurs FO as he prepares for the Olympics?

Question for those who have watched much Brazilian basketball: do these two guys play together a lot, and if so how do they fit with each other? Splitter does not have any jumpshot to speak of. And it seems with both of them their preference is to play posting up on the low block.

Now, out of jokes, I haven't seen Rafael last year, so maybe he progressed a little, but he always was some kind of dumb Varejao: strong and enthusiastic, but that's all about him

we can deal with dumb. it's stupidity in the levels of Javale McGee and Blatche that should be deal breakers.
