The way you're carrying on, I'm wondering about the history there. Did Matty B steal your girlfriend in junior high? Did he totally splash you with his Grand Am while you were waiting at the VIA stop?

Rockets are making room for Dwight Howard, supposedly, and Budinger is a restricted free agent next year. The Spurs could make a similar coup if they were willing to let Manu go, who is also in his last year of his contract.

Yeah, that's the play for the Rockets. Pull together enough young talent/picks to make a bid for a big time superstar big man. Last year they had Paul Gasol in their grasp before Stern put the kibosh on the deal. Same strategy, different player.

Dude has history with Adelman. A known quantity for the 18th pick of the draft isn't that big a stretch. Little risk and you know what you're getting.
Previous history counts.

No one else knows what Bonner brings other than what they see on film.

Previous history plus Budinger only has $900,000+ salary coming this year which gives the Wolves some cap relief. Bonner brings a bloated salary (for his worth) and a hunger for deli sandwiches.

As one of the (repeatedly) top three point shooters in the league, Bonner doesn't have a bloated salary.

The TWolves are not looking for cap relief. Did they even give up any salary in the Budinger trade? All I've seen is that they gave up rights to a dude.

And, shoot, Bonner'll spend that contract on the local economy!
