Project Spurs: Lorbek coming to SA

According to the Spanish Newspaper Mundo Deportivo, San Antonio Spurs' Erazem Lorbek will be making his way to the Spurs this coming season. A resident from Spain, @DudaSun, sent this picture from today's newspaper in Spain that states Lorbek is coming to San Antonio (lower corner text).

nice news so maybe Bonner is on the way out! also why do all these sites say Gary Neal is a FA when he is not a FA!

Hell yeah baby. All we need is de colo and we have 2 first round draft worthy rookies. It will be interesting what the FO does at the draft because something is definitely in the woodworks. I'd like Ryan Richards to be at training camp but would also like to see what happens with Blair, Joseph and Green. I can definitely see Green leaving via a sign and trade along with Blair.

As I understand it his strengths are that he is a reasonably good post player and outside shooter. However, he is not going to be a great defender or shot blocker. So we are not upgrading our defense. Considering how we went out in the playoffs, it would seem that should be the highest priority. But I guess you have to go with the guys you have rights too. It's not like we have much leverage to draft anybody really good.

Duncan's legs got worn when he had to play offense. if we can have TD as the 5th option, our defense will improve imo

Well, this guy is going to have to be really good if he is higher up in the offense in foodchain then Duncan is. Still, it would be good to have another low post threat. Tiago was too wild with the ball when playing in the post in the playoffs.

Great News. I think this kid is a Perfect Fit here NOW.
Now that he is easy to MOLD into the Spurs system.
