mcLovin had a segment, something called Parquet... It was 5 reasons why the Spurs are... don't remember what the actual word was, but it was tantamount to boring... 1. Media 2. International Players. 3. No fall from grace 4. 5. Small Market mcLovin, a philly fan of everything city of brotherly love, sounded to me like a hater... There was no banter or post discussion following his segment. It was like he said it and that was it.... I'm sorry I don't have a link to it, but internet geniuses, help me out.. Also, please care to comment on it if you heard it...

The guy's points are entirely valid when you consider that he's talking only about the audience appetite for soap opera in sports. His context is that people don't watch sports for the athletic excellence. They watch for freak show value and personal drama. Given this premise, drama queens like Kobe Bryant will always be "greater" than Duncan. |

By the way....I'm joking about thinking this needs to be done. I personally think that legitimate competition is like a box of chocolates.......you never know what you're gonna get and you just have to live with it......ratings or not.

The Dan Patrick show is (to me) one of the single most boring programs out there today. When I'm driving around hitting the buttons on the radio, it takes me all of about 10 seconds to hear him and his dannettes (or whatever they're called) and the button is pushed again. Heck I can even take Mike Taylor more than I can Patrick and I can't stand Taylor. I've tried to listen, but man even his interviews drive me crazy with his slow, weird vocal patterns. He's not bad on TV, but on radio, meh.

Did not catch it but really don't care - everyone will not coem on board so easily but clearly the national media is jumping big time on the Spurs bandwaggon.
