Manu Ginobili Appears To Be Back - SBNation.com
Manu Ginobili Appears To Be Back

Mike Prada

Manu Ginobili in the first eight games of the playoffs: 11.3 points, 4.5 assists, 40 percent shooting.
Manu Ginobili in Game 1 vs. the Thunder thus far in less than 10 minutes: 10 points, 4-6 shooting, one assist.
Welcome back, Manu.

Looks as if he'd been hurting until now and used the past week to heal up. Wow, was he impressive!

Manu and Tim must be drinking from the Fountain of Youth...

I think he was playing "not to get hurt" in the earlier rounds. He knew and saw we didn't need him as much, so he just didn't want to get hurt. So he was playing tentatively and thus not developing a rhythm within the games. It may have even been Pop telling him to "be careful".

With Green off his game (suffering from WCF game 1 jitters no doubt), and Bonner reverting somewhat to past playoff form, he saw and knew we needed him. So, Pop and Manu "released the hounds" and let him go full bore.

He didn't play more than 30 minutes in any of the games in the rounds 1 and 2. Yesterday he got 34 minutes of burn. This is when we need him. He was saved for moments (and series) like this.

Holler! Manu is the engine that drives this franchise to winning championships with Timmy being the defensive anchor

He knew we needed him and he came through.

Hopefully TD and TP can get back on track, along with Danny and Kawhi. Then we'll be fine even with Manu's ups and downs.

Maybe we should get more than one game before declarations of His return.
Those first half turnovers were as bad as anyone's.

But it was really nice to see his shots fall through the rim, as opposed to the previous 8 games.

I don't expect him to give us 20 a night. I expect him to muddle through with 10 point 5 reb 5 asst games and then bust out with a monster night twice every series when TP and TD are having off nights. That's "back" in my book.

He has never been dominant every game of any playoff series. Closest was Detroit in 05.

You're so predictable it's boring. Not even Uwe Blab is as annoying as you, at least he knows when to shut the f.... up

how sad must be that instead of being happy for your team winning you're mad because you hate a player that actually made your team win. Shouldn't you consider another team to root for? Because, you know, you're set for some horrible days these playoffs

Let's throttle it down please. KatySpursFan is just stating opinion. No need to get harsh. It's a forum, there will be people that will disagree with topics. 1st warning.
