San Antonio Spurs' Tony Parker diced the Utah Jazz in their opening game to the tune of 28 points, 8 assists, and 53% shooting in 37 minutes in Game 1. TP mostly did his damage by getting into the paint and teeth of Utah's defense and the Jazz know slowing Parker down is important if they want any shot at evening things up Wednesday night in San Antonio before the playoff series shifts to Utah. Devin Harris suggests giving Parker a few hard fouls | April

they say this every year, and to a huge extent, it's true. however, tony takes the hits and keeps on coming. if anything though, the Jazz bigs have so much respect for the Spurs (especially Jefferson who looks up to Timmy) they just won't have the mean streak in them the way a Bynum or Perkins would.

I think Devin Harris should be a recipient of a few hard fouls too. I mean....if he can talk about dishing it out, he should be able to take it, right?

| Thugball might only work for one game. Just look at Artest and Rondo. They're suspended for playing thugball. Now it might bite them in the butt.

![]() That is what I was thinking too. Now the refs would be like... Hmmmm OK TP will get HARD fouled next game in SA...Check..... ![]() LMAO @ Harris... Last time we heard when Pop did not play TD and Manu in the second game on a B2B Milsap said it was a (Slap in the FACE)! It just shows how fragile the mind of those young inexperienced Jazz team. I can see how Harris is trying to rally his troop for a comeback after the huge let down in game one....I can also see the psych of the team who lost on the road to the first seed who is playing out of their league completely. And any hope of an idea is a solution for their mind who is beginning to become desperate starting tomorrow. And I fully 110% expect the Jazz to come with LOADS of emotions at the beginning of game 2.... Spurs have to match that energy and I am pretty sure they will... And Spurs will win game 2 here IMHO. Nothing that the JAZZ can do in SA that could save them from another embarrassing loss here in SA because Spurs are the better team and JAZZ need another year or two to get back in the PO. No disrespect to the Jazz because they made the PO fair and square but they also made it as the exact place they deserved. The difference between this year's Spurs PO and the last year is that the Jazz ARE the eight seed and they play like it. While last year Memphis was not your average 8th seed. Also last year the Spurs were a legit 1st seed but with a healthy Manu and TD. This year the Spurs ARE the LEGIT first seed and they sure will show the entire WORLD that they are a very deep team that is very tough to beat especially since they are the BEST Coached team in the league.

Awesome. Hard fouls from a pansy like Harris means easy free throws and a couple of 3 point plays. BY THE WAY, Where did all the SpursReport contributors clamoring to trade Parker for Harris go? Remember this (Another Trade Opinion - 4 Teams)idea? I wonder if we would be contending with that suggested lineup.
