Diaw Nifty Pass to Leonard who stuffs it....

Diaw had 6 pts and 4 assists in 18 minutes last night in the Spurs win, including this beauty...

It'd be nice if Diaw were flat-out more aggressive....BUT...

...he had a defender in front of him. When he dished to Kawhi, he sealed the defender off so Kawhi had an open path to the hoop.

Very smart move.

YES very smart move.

Diaw is under rated. This guy has Tons of Talents. If the Spurs coaching staff can play him, he will deliver. He is so versatile and he got a decent size. He never was on a good coached team and now it is like Christmas to him.... I am loving this Spurs team more and more every day!!!

Diaw does all the little things. He sets the right screens at the right times. He makes the right pass. When he drives to dish he has the body control not to get a charge while also sealing off his defender so Kawhi can get to the rim.

Well Diaw is playing with Teamwork in concept that is for sure.

The guy has been knocked down by many for being lazy and over weight, but he still has all the fundamentals and no question he can contribute to help out the Spurs here and there. That is all what we are asking. He is a great passer and has a tremendous court vision and he can play several positions. Looking forward to see him contribute to the Spurs wins.

if you think about it, him rolling to the basket is actually an aggressive move. Manu's guy went over the screen and Diaw set a good pick which made Diaw's guy chase Manu. once that happens and someone tries to help out, the smart basketball player knows there has to be a guy open since his guy helped out. smart move by Leonard also to cut to the basket. anyone else may have settled for a 3 over a layup/dunk. Diaw sealed the defender nicely too, but i doubt Leonard gets blocked. if anything, it would be an And 1 imo

It's great when one is able to take the time and dissect the plays and explain the reasoning for such actions. I always enjoy reading your posts.
