So TP9 left the 1st quarter with "tightness in the hamstring" per the commentators, Coach Pop kept him out the rest of the game for "precautionary reasons". Let's hope for the best!

Honestly he needs to take some time off. We have neal, ginobili and maybe even green to fill in. Patty mills would be a great pick up. Against lesser teams Parker needs to sit or play limited minutes for a while. We have a crazy stretch coming with lots of games in a short period of time and Parker needs to rest. He has carried this team so far and has to be healthy if we are going to do anything in the playoffs.

Same can be said for timmy or Manu although I understand you're reasoning as far as TP leading the team this year. I like Stephen Jackson moreso now than I did with RJ ever and it's only been 2 games. We have the depth to ride while he rests so afford him some time off. It will be fun to see Mills and hopefully Diaw integrate into the Spurs system.

| Neal fills in as Parker deals with hamstring By Mike Monroe When Tony Parker felt a twinge in his left leg after sprinting back on defense during Wednesday’s second quarter, the All-Star point guard didn’t hesitate for even a moment. Walking straight to the Spurs’ bench, Parker told coach Gregg Popovich what he had felt and continued walking to the locker room. An examination by head athletic trainer Will Sevening and members of the team’s medical staff determined Parker’s injury as a strained left hamstring. “I think they said ‘mild hamstring,’?” Popovich said, expressing mild optimism. “We won’t know much until tomorrow. IMO he should (if able) start against Dallas, take off NO, start against Philly, start again PHO and take off the Sac game. Let Neal and Mano man the point and if Mills gets here let him have 5-8 minutes per game... I really like how Neal has just quietly gone about taking care of business no matter what he's asked to do. With him and Manu running the point the Spurs have players who can launch and make the 3 point shot which will really free up Tim and Tiago inside.

I hope TP is getting rested and well. He doesn't need to be in the Dallas game unless his muscles are feeling better.. Get well TP9!!!

If he's fine, there's no reason to rest him. There's only 22 games left in the season. They can still catch OKC (maybe Mia and Chi) and the Lakers are not that far behind them. I think MichaelWi101 is right. Play him against Dal (they need to make a point in this one), off for NO and then back against Philly. You know they are going to rest TD and Manu, so he has to play at least two of those games.
