Sacramento Kings fire Paul Westphal

"SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP)—The Sacramento Kings have fired coach Paul Westphal after two-plus seasons and a 2-5 start so far.
President of basketball operations Geoff Petrie made the announcement ahead of the team’s home game against Milwaukee on Thursday night. Assistant coach Keith Smart, let go by the Golden State Warriors after one season, will serve as head coach against the Bucks.

Petrie says “the overall performance level of the team has not approached what we felt was reasonable to expect.”"

Didn't Magic Johnson get Westphal fired from the Lakers? I guess this means that Cousins won't be going anywhere.....

Keith Smart will be a capable replacement having previously coached Golden State; all the Warriors know is offense.

Mr Cousins now leads the new generation of coach-killers.

The complaint that Westphal won't coach offense is a strange one considering his coaching history. Offense has never been a problem.
