Canaletto inspires royal knees-up
 

When Queen Elizabeth II and the Royal family glide down the Thames at the head of a flotilla, it won't be the first time the monarchy has celebrated a big event by messing about on the river. The 2012 celebration is inspired by an 18th century Canaletto masterpiece.
