Krispy Kreme introduces ice cream products in San Antonio

Glazing Saddles, the company that owns the local franchise rights to Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, has introduced Kool Kreme at its Northwest San Antonio store location.
Kool Kreme is Krispy Kreme’s soft serve ice cream brand. The Krispy Kreme location at Interstate 10 at De Zavala has been equipped to sell ice cream cones, sundaes, shakes, doughnut sundaes and the company’s Arctic Avalanche products.
The store will continue to sell Krispy Kreme doughnuts and Kolaches. The Krispy Kreme location is currently the only Kool Kreme Kremery shop in Texas, according to Glazing Saddles.
Austin-based Glazing Saddles also owns Krispy Kreme stores in Austin, Cedar Park, Corpus Christi, Laredo and El Paso. The company’s other San Antonio store is located at 1117 North Loop 1604 East.
Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Krispy Kreme (NYSE: KKD) was founded in 1937. Today, the company has more than 600 locations worldwide.
