H-E-B set to open new store in Central Texas
San Antonio Business Journal
H.E. Butt Grocery Co. (H-E-B) is opening a new store in Dripping Springs, Texas, later this month.
The 68,000-square-foot store has been under construction for the past year. The grocery is slated to open July 23. However, the store’s gas station and car wash will open on Thursday, July 22.
The store is part of a 55-acre retail development that also includes a Home Depot. The Dripping Springs shopping center is located about 25 miles southwest of Austin, near the intersection of R.R. 12 and U.S. Highway 290.
Kimley-Horn and Associates Inc., a national engineering and land planning firm, performed the civil engineering at the store site. A pair of San Antonio companies were responsible for designing and building the store. Alamo Architects Inc. was the project architect and Joeris General Contractors was the general contractor.
San Antonio-based H-E-B operates more than 300 stores in Texas and Mexico that generate annual sales of more than $15 billion. The new store in Dripping Springs is just one of 19 stores H-E-B is slated to open this year.
