LOS ANGELES, CA
Pop star Michael Jackson will be interred in the Great Mausoleum, an area of Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles closed to the public, TMZ reported.
Jackson died of cardiac arrest June 25 at the age of 50. The circumstances of his death are still being studied and the Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday the results of the probe are not expected to be released for at least a few more weeks while investigators determine whether there are grounds for criminal prosecution.
TMZ said the place where Jackson is to be buried Aug. 29 -- what would have been the singer's 51st birthday -- is the same part of the cemetery where movie actors Clark Gable and Jean Harlow are interred. Access to the mausoleum reportedly is restricted to property owners and family members, and monitored closely by security cameras.
One of Jackson's five brothers, Randy, told the entertainment news Web site he and his other brothers intend to be pallbearers at next week's burial service. There also are three Jackson sisters.
"I will be there ... and, yes, the brothers will carry him from the hearse to the front of the mausoleum," he told TMZ.
