South by Southwest Multimedia Conference

State Fair of Dallas

The roots of the State Fair of Texas can be traced all the way back to 1886.

Terlingua International Chili Championship

On the first Saturday of November the Chili Appreciation Society International holds the ultimate celebration of Chili at the Rancho CASI de los Chisos in Terlingua. The four day celebration culminates on Saturday with the Terlingua International Chili Championship.

It is a Texas tradition of epic proportion - complete with an annual proclamation from the Governor declaring "Chili Appreciation Society International Day" in Texas, and nightly stage entertainment
