Did you know...

Marijuana is legal in Alaska? I didn't before I moved here. You can carry up to four ounces on you at any given time.:yikes

So how many of you will be moving here and when? :D

Its a misdemeanor in Madison, but as the cops are quick to point out, "Federal law applies." Mountains and joints--Alaska may be the place to be. :thumbs

Hmm... the feds didn't seem to mention this when they locked up my Alaskan cousin for 10yrs, 9mos on a marijuana drug charge..

you may wanna consult with your soon-to-be-local Alaskan criminal attorney before you pack yoru bags... or else you may end up a lil' further south in Oregon -- at a federal "pound me in the @ss" prison. [Office Space rocks, lol].

Three reasons your cuz may have been locked up:

1. He's a dealer and works in large amounts or purchased a large amount- that's a no no

2. The timing. It's been an on again off again law that seems to change with every new state congress.

3. Where he used it. It's not allowed in public, while driving, etc.

It is legal. You can look it up. There are just a lot of restrictions.
