San Antonio Natives... help
 

As some of you know, I'm doing an internship in SA this summer. The company has a deal with UTSA for living, so that will be free for me. However, I was curious about the area/conditions/etc. I'm staying at University Oaks. Does anyone know anything about it? I've been told it's kinda meh, so I was looking for more opinions.

Also, what is that area of town like? Good? Bad?

Any info would be great! Thanks for the help.

That area of town is fine. I used to live just down 10 behind the Colonnade.

The Oaks kinda suck. Dezavala has some nice apts. and is only about 5-10 minutes from campus.

The area is nice for what it is. There are MANY good restaurants but one can only go to sea world and fiesta texas so many times. Check out the botanical gardens in Alamo Heights when you get the time.

If I was staying longer than 11 weeks, I might consider something else. However, considering the company is paying for it all, I can't really complain too much. Thanks for the advice, though.
