this really does work.

advice: before you do, I suggest labeling all of your current library songs. ex. mark each song with the same comment so when you transfer all of them, you can tell your originals from the backups or copies.

Or you can use amaroK with gtk-pod in linux and drag and drop from your ipod to your hard drive with the correct filenames and ID3 tags for free.

interesting. i dot have linux. and this way is free...but time consuming.
