I've shot a .550 weatherby which supposedly can go through 2 elephants (my friend who owned the gun told me this so if it's not correct, sorry) but it did not appear to kick as bad as this---

It was funny because we were at an area out in the desert near town that was popular for target shooting.. there were all these little pops and plinks of handguns and deer rifles then all of a sudden the boom of this elephant gun going off and then everything was quiet...we were a good distance from the nearest groups and we all started busting up laughing at the silence ...
