Computer Gurus: I need help!!

I'm having a major problem w/MSI Installer.
It's launching w/every single thing I do on my computer. Everything takes ages now.
I can't log into chat no more ever since
I tried to d/l a tool to fix it but it didn't work ( http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/tools/13514.html ).
Is there any simple way to make it go away?
Tnx

If you run Windows, you may be able to keep it from starting with msconfig.
