Unlike TheFlo2, I actually watched the movie first. eyes lolHas anyone else seen it? I've been waiting for it to come out for a while now and I enjoyed it. It was different. The way they shot it was interesting and the way they did the subtitles was neat as well. They weren't your traditional subtitles. I don't know if others have done them the same way. I liked how they would emphasize the emotions in the subs. I also liked how they kept showing Mexico City in all its glory. They would shoot the land from overhead showing different parts. The story dragged in some scenes and had me wondering what was going on but then it all came together. I liked Denzel, he did good and that little girl is adorable. Good movie. I also saw a new trailer for SpiderMan2 and The Day After Tomorrow. Both those look great!

this movie was awesome. The subtitles I think were more like thoughts in your head....they would come quickly and then fade, very neat affect. There's a part where he's drunk and they did a great job of making you feel helpless as he did when he was drunk....a lot of little effects that are not there to be different but rather meaningful. There's a lot of parts in the movie where the director made you "feel" more because of the way it was shot... :imo this was an amazingly directed movie. ...BUT to be honest, maybe I enjoyed it more because I enjoy visual creativity, I could see why some might think it's a bit distracting to the movie. Storyline was pretty good, not too bad. Denzel is the man, what else do you say? (Tony Scott directed the film, which doesn't surprise me, because I've liked almost all his movies, like Crimson Tide, Top Gun, and The Last Boy Scout) |

Its too early in the morning for insults...AF ![]() Denzel is a great actor, but I am afraid he is being typecast. It just isn't as interesting to watch anymore, when you think you have already seen the character. Think about it... Man on Fire: Bodyguard Out of Time: Police Chief (cop) Training Day: Narcotics officer (cop) The Bone Collector: Homicide Detective (cop) The Siege: FBI Special Agent (uh...yea...a gov't cop) They are almost all alike. It just isnt as interesting anymore. He is a great actor, but he needs to get better roles. Find a new director that we utilize that talent. |
