Bosox now 5-1 against Yanks....

without Nomar. Any Yankee haters in here? A Boston win tomorrow will give them a series sweep of the Yankees for the first time since '99. I know, I know! "It's too early in the season." It's just nice seeing the Yanks not doing well, especially after signing A-Rod, even if it is early. Just hoping this will continue through September.

BTW, I am not a Boston fan, just a Yankee hater. Since my team has no chance at the AL pennant, I'll pull for just about any team not called Yankees.

Boston 11 6 .647 -- 5-3 6-3 11-6 0-0 0-0 Won 2 7-3
Baltimore 10 6 .625 0.5 5-4 5-2 10-6 0-0 0-0 Lost 1 7-3
NY Yankees 8 10 .444 3.5 3-4 5-6 4-7 4-3 0-0 Lost 3 4-6
Tampa Bay 7 9 .438 3.5 5-5 2-4 5-6 2-3 0-0 Won 1 4-6
Toronto 5 12 .294 6.0 1-8 4-4 3-8 2-4 0-0 Won 1 3-7

Hopefully I'm not jinxing the Red Sox.

Yankees Suck! Yankees Suck!

How does it feel to be paying A-Rod 17 mil for a 150 (approx) BA? Do you miss Clemens and Pettite now?

150 Approx? what the hell is that???

I'll tell you its TOO F****G generous. What an egg they're laying. I was one that KNEW letting Pettitte go would be a mistake to come back and bite the Yankees in the ass. You can assemble all the bats in a lineup that you want, but in case they didn't learn when Josh Beckett handed them their ASSSSSSSSSSSSS in the WS you need PITCHING to win!! PERIOD. The Yankees have a sh!tty Pitching staff and they're not going nowhere. The Boston RedSox will be what they are going on till something terrible happens to them
The Orioles look good so far but its early. Who knows? maybe its all different by September.
The Staff is crap. You've got Kevin Brown who's one 95 MPH ball away from being on the DL. you've got Mike Mussina who's still pitching for the ******* Orioles or a shell of himself, and that worthless piece of crap refugee Contreras who's got a freakin ERA of about 20
this team isn't going to win the division much less the WS

^^Unfortunately (for us), A-Rod is 9 for his last 20 (.450) since going 2-17 against Boston last week. On the bright side, though, that doesn't seem to be helping the Yanks any, since they're on a three game skid.

who do you like Hook, just out of curiosty man? (not attackin ya )

the thing with the Yankees, and fans and people say they've not played the Dregs of the league yet, don't matter. I don't care if they feast on the Devil Rays, Royals, Rangers and build up a big record this team don't have a prayer because they have no PITCHING. The young Marlins have it and are winning in the NL. Don't matter how many guys hit .300 and have HR's its all bout PITCHING

PITCHING
Believe it or not, Johnny, I used to be a Yankee fan when I was a kid; before I knew any better. Now I pull for both Texas teams and also for Cincinnati.

I hate the Yanks, but I also respect them; just like I respect the Lakers. They're hated cause they're winners. You know how that goes.

I think of the Yankees as the Lakers. They got many good offensive players, but no defense(pitching).

They'll miss Clemens and Petetite in the post season.

NYJohnny-- I just heard on sportscenter a few days ago that A-Rod was hitting at like .150 or something crappy like that. Of course, that's changed now that A-Rod went on a tear.

Of course Boston will choke, but I can hope

Well, they did it, and with a shutout, 2-0. Sox swept the Yankees 3 games to 0 and are now 6-1 against them. For those of you too lazy to read the first post, I know "it doesn't mean a damn thing" right now, but there is hope. For one, the Red Sox have better pitching and their offense (when Nomar comes back), IMO, is right up there with NY's.

A-Rod update: Went 2-4 today and is now batting .257.

hahhaha jeter struck out 3 times and got booed by his own crowd.

priceless.

wow, at a payroll of 180 million for the season
162 games, the yankees just totally wasted like 3.6 mil.

George Steinbrenner must be so pissed right now. WTF is wrong with the yankees, their entire lineup is made of all-stars. they just suck right now

how about the sox bullpen. 23 straight scoreless innings or something ridiculous like that.

i know its just april but wins now count just as much as wins in september. The sox are building a lead over the yanks in the east. right now Bmore looks like more of a threat

as much as I hate the yankees

to discount and write them off at this early point of the season would be entirely foolish

They will be there in the end

unfortunally
