How good can Roy Williams be?

I am talking about the kid from Texas....

My Lions just got him and I think he is a steal that he fell to the number 7 spot!!!

What do some of you Texans think of this kid?

he is a steal. he has all the tools

many experts had him right there with fitzgerald in this draft - in a deep WR draft year

He has good hands, big body..very strong, great jumping ability, fast...fast...fast..great at yards after the catch

Im a UT fan but Roy Williams would have been a stud had he played anywhere
He is going to be a great NFL receiver

The lions have a great draft going. They got the #1 player on their board and a good RB (Kevin Jones).

Damn, wish the cowboys could do something.

unless things change...Williams career has ended before it began.
The Lions...

Used to be you get drafted by
1. Bengals
2. Cardinals
3. Lions ....you're done

actually its a great Saturday for Marriucci. I hope he can turn it around up there...imagine now Lions fan you got Roy Williams on one side, and on the other Charles Rogers ... and Joe Harrington throwing to them!

I really hope we can atleast compete for a playoff spot.....Our Divison is not that great so I really think we can....

I am very happy with the way our Draft went (Lions).....I am looking forward to my NFL Sunday Ticket pass to come in so I know the NFL is about to start...

In the NFL you always can get pumped for the season cause you can always turn it around in one year...

Just look at yur Cowboys .......

used to be the Lions, Bengals, and Cardinals were always loser in and out. Thats changed

ALSPURS, I am from West Texas and I saw both Williams and Cedric Benson play against each other. That had to be the best high school game I have ever seen. Roy Williams is the real deal. He can get the job done and is a play maker. The Lions are lucky to have him.

Oh yeah, watch the movie Friday Night Lights when it comes out and you will see what type of football all of us played in West Texas. The movie is centered around Williams' high school (Permian High School).

Overrated: Roy Williams, Texas
Williams was an enigma for four years in Austin, and it appears NFL folks, many of whom consider him the top receiver in the draft, are enthralled by him. A physical and athletic specimen, Williams looks in every way like the next Randy Moss or Terrell Owens, and sometimes he even played like them. But even with the benefit of the nation's most highly recruited teammates, including two very capable receivers -- B.J. Johnson and Sloan Thomas -- to serve as decoys, Williams never dominated over the course of an entire season a la Larry Fitzgerald or Charles Rogers. His best performances always seemed to come in spurts, while at other times he was rendered a non-factor (in part, of course, because of Texas' conservative play-calling). Williams is too talented and experienced not to make an impact at the next level, but there are several more proven prospects, including ...
