I prefer a wet rub, as the meat absorbs the the moisture and becomes more enjoyable when you put it in the grill. A dry rub is okay, if nothing is available to rub the meat wet.

Since my wife is a vegetarian, I usally have to rub the meat myself. Of course out of respect for her, I wait until she's out of the house before I commence rubbing the meat. I like to change it up too, so that I can enjoy my meat in a variety of different ways. One time I tried a jalapeno jelly rub. I thought it might spice the meat up nicely, but it burned too much to ever consider doing that again. Sometimes I think it's best to just go natural and enjoy my meat the way God intended it. |
