VERMILION, Ohio -- An Ohio man was arrested Friday for allegedly riding his lawn mower drunk.

Dondi Bowles, 50, was picked up at about 9:45 p.m. Friday after police spotted him driving the riding mower on the sidewalk, television station WEWS-TV in Cleveland reported.

Police said he had driven the mower to a store about a mile away and was on his way home when he was stopped.

Officers said Bowles' blood-alcohol level was 0.144 percent.

His riding lawn mower had to be towed away.
