Tom Cruise boycott - sign up

I'll probably be the only one on this list, but I dont plan on ever watching another movie with him in it.

Like I said, I'll probably be the only one.

I never saw Mission Impossible 1 or 2 so it don't matter anymore.

I'd pay to watch him eat a placenta...with some fava beans and a nice chianti.

I think he's a freak, but he's not a bad actor. I'll keep watching his movies.

The only good movie he's ever been in was Magnolia, and that is because it was PT Anderson.

What about his older movies? Not going to watch any of those either?

Random thought: I've always thought Tom Cruise (in his prime) would have been the PERFECT cyclops from X-Men.

Magnolia is the only one of Tom's films I like, that includes Cocktail, Top Gun, and Mission Impossible. He's an alright actor and plays the perfect role for him in Magnolia.

I think he is a very good actor actually

he was awesome in The Last Samurai

Minority Report was good

Vanilla Sky was a strange movie but he did a good job in it

Magnolia

Eyes Wide Shut was a good acting job - another strange movie

I like the Mission Impossible movies

Jerry Maguire is great!

The Firm

A few Good men

Rain Man

War of the Worlds

Collateral

Days of Thunder

Top Gun

Risky Business

are some I remember off the top of my head. not all those movies were great but I think he was solid in them. Its sad he is a freak off the screen because I think he can actually act

Yeah, he is a great and memorable actor (at least by my standards).

Looks good DizzG. Only significant one you might have forgotten is "Born on the 4th of July".

He's had his fair share of great movies.

I try (key word... cant always do it) to not bring his real life into his fake life (IE his characters/movies)... Much like (since this is a basketball forum) Kobe's off the court troubles. I dont see him as a basketball player in any different way than I did before his troubles... But in his new movies (back to Tom), its kind of hard not to think about how much of a nut he seems to be in real life. He's not a low-profile actor by any means.

If you can't separate the man from the actor, then yes, it would be very hard to watch Tom Cruise nowadays. To me, he is an actor who always tried hard, even if his natural ability could not catch up with his work ethic.
