I made a similar thread last year, but I have new questions: Why is it so important for girls? Why do girls have to get ready 2 months before? How long before is a good time to ask a girl? Is it okay to wear my band tux(ones the band lends us for concerts)? What can we do afterwards? (Don't say Sex!) When is a good time to leave prom or shall we stay to the end? When is a good time to go? (hour after it opens or being or...) When is it okay to dance with someone else's date? Is better do have dinner with a group or just with your date? When should I reserve a table for dinner? What should I do when I don't like dancing to fast songs? Thanks. I may add new questions later when they come to me |

Why is it so important for girls? cause its a chick thing Why do girls have to get ready 2 months before? another chick thing How long before is a good time to ask a girl? I would say since it takes us 2 months to get ready ... 2 mos Is it okay to wear my band tux(ones the band lends us for concerts)? If its cheesey, NO What can we do afterwards? (Don't say Sex!) well since I cant say sex ... When is a good time to leave prom or shall we stay to the end? Leave when you feel ready, I dont think anyone actually stays till the bitter end When is a good time to go? (hour after it opens or being or...) A good time to go is the day of the actual prom When is it okay to dance with someone else's date? why would you want to do that? Is better do have dinner with a group or just with your date? Depends on if you want alone time with your date ... either is good I think When should I reserve a table for dinner? If you're going to a place that calls for reservations, then I think it would be a smart idea, dont you? What should I do when I don't like dancing to fast songs? Dont dance? |

Is it okay to wear my band tux(ones the band lends us for concerts)? I'd say no...are you talking about just a regular tux with the black bow tie and all (that's what we had). I thought spending $100 for something you wear a few hours was a waste...but if your parents fork up the money then go for it. When is a good time to go? (hour after it opens or being or...) After you're good and hammered |

Rent a stylish tux, get there 1/2 hour after it starts, leave 45 minutes before the end. After you are there awhile, ask your date if she wanted to dance with some of her friends and then you do the same. Go to Dave-n-Busters afterwards.

GAH prom ![]() I don't care for it all that much, I'll prolly just take a friend. I'm just wearing a normal suit and tie. If someone has a problem with me not wearing a tux, they can stick it up their arse. I'm a senior and they should be glad I dressed up that much ![]() EDIT--Not going to prom and just going to the parties is a far less stressful option. Last edited by JamesR; 03-12-06 at 01:35 PM. |

Take my advice: PROM IS OVERRATED. period. 5 years from now you'll probably never see your prom date again, and you'll wonder why you made such a big stink about it. Don't think too much about what you end up doing. Just go, hang out with your friends, and have a good time. Taking it too seriously is absolutely dumb. |
