Another Amazing
Bush Mouthful Of Words

Verbatim Quote of 12-13-5
1-19-5

Woman in audience asks: 'I don't really understand. How is the new plan going to fix the problem?'

President George W. Bush responds:

"Because the -- all which is on the table begins to address the big cost drivers. For example, how benefits are calculated, for example, is on the table. Whether or not benefits rise based upon wage increases or price increases. There's a series of parts of the formula that are being considered. And when you couple that, those different cost drivers, affecting those -- changing those with personal accounts, the idea is to get what has been promised more likely to be -- or closer delivered to that has been promised. Does that make any sense to you? It's kind of muddled. Look, there's a series of things that cause the -- like, for example, benefits are calculated based upon the increase of wages, as opposed to the increase of prices. Some have suggested that we calculate -- the benefits will rise based upon inflation, supposed to wage increases. There is a reform that would help solve the red if that were put into effect. In other words, how fast benefits grow, how fast the promised benefits grow, if those -- if that growth is affected, it will help on the red."

Yeah, well we all pretty much know he isnt the best public speaker in the world. Still, I'm sure in his mind he knew what he was trying to say even though I couldnt figure it out.

he is in theory and title. I think my post above illustrates that he is NOT. No man that befuddled by his or someone else's thoughts/ideas can function well in society.

#1 when my 6 year old daughter can string 2 thoughts together better than him, you gotta stop and think.

#2 as for what you are "sure of," it can at most be speculation. In other words, we pray that he doesn't have some undiscovered retardation/degenerative disease that has yet to be discovered.

Petty. Just plain petty.

I would go so far as to say that Bush is probably smarter than you. That would eat you alive wouldn't it?

That ^^^ sounds about right.

David Letterman does a good job every night showing various things Bush says or does.
=============================
Example from last night's show.

GEORGE W. BUSH: WHAT?! - We did a piece with the same name last night. Tonight, we see the President giving a speech.

Bush: "And we have an obligation in order to keep the peace to work together to achieve the objective that we're trying to achieve through the current diplomatic process."
The President realized about half-way through that he was a bit lost. He kept talking until he found his way.

What did he just say?

Yes yes and deep down somewhere Jeffrey Dahmer was a good decent person. But that doesn't matter it's your actions that are judged. In this case Bush's actions point to him being of average intelligence and less than average curiosity. If he is intelligent then he has severe ADHD which I also have so I know what I speak of. I wouldn't want me being president though because attention to detail is such an important aspect of the job and that is the main area that ADHD afflicted people lack.

So, you've diagnosed the President as having ADHD based on the "takes one to know one" theory?

actually no, I posited that he was either dumb or possibly has ADHD or even ADD. These were 2 of a myriad selection of possible reasons why he appears to be a dumb redneck.

Aren't most of his speeches prepared for him anyway? All he has to do is read it out loud.

Maybe thats the problem - he can't read.

People who usually stutter or trail off in the middle of a sentence is probably lying. So I think therein lies the problem.

Are you being serious or just sarcastic? I can't believe anyone would think this.

Do you know how many people out there have no public speaking skill at all? Both educated and uneducated. Studdering or trailing off is not an indicator by itself of anything. How about general nervousness or just being uncomfortable in front of a big crowd?

On a personal level, George Bush is very charismatic...at least by being able to make people feel comfortable around him. That goes a long way in politics. A loooooong way.

[facetious]Being president of the US is a nervous job. Why do you think a president needs armed escort and bullet-proof wheels.[/facetious]

[honest]I think he talks the way he does because he is lying or too dumb to speak for himself when he doesnt have anything prewritten by his speech writers.[/honest]
