Thursday December 22 3:46 PM ET The cast of "Lost," ABC's hit drama of air crash survivors marooned on a mysterious island, have won one battle -- they beat a 40-year-old virgin and King Kong's girlfriend for the title of 'Entertainer of the Year." Entertainment Weekly named what it called a group of "treasured islanders," the cast of "Lost," as its Entertainer of the Year, calling the show one of the "biggest cult breakouts since The X-Files." In second place was Steve Carell, the star of the hit film "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" and the magazine cited him for his ability to play an implausible boob. "You're telling me I have a gift for the pathetic. I have no idea where my pathetic nature comes from. If I thought about it too long, it would depress me," Carell told the magazine. Third was Naomi Watts, who plays the blond actress befriended by Kong in the new film reviving the classic tale of ape meets girl, ape loves girl, ape loses girl. Kayne West, the producer-turned-rapper, was fourth and actress Felicity Huffman was fifth, praised both for her performance in "Desperate Housewives" and as a man on the verge of completing a sex-change operation in "TransAmerica." Actor/director George Clooney placed sixth on the list with Entertainment Weekly saying that his direction of the McCarthy-era drama "Good Night, and Good Luck" helped transform him into "a man of both passion and principle." "The one thing you get to do when you're famous is shine a light on something. But if you want to shine a light on something that isn't so palatable, you should expect to catch ... (criticism) for it and take it," Clooney told the magazine. Completing the top 10 were in order: actor Vince Vaughn, pop star Gwen Stefani, children's book hero Harry Potter and rising Hollywood star Terrence Howard, who the magazine said "stunned audiences with Oscar-caliber performances in not one but two of the year's best independent films, "Crash" and "Hustle and Flow." I watched the first few episodes of Lost...but then I missed some, so..you can't really go back when you've missed some. Now I REALLY can't go back. I tried watching it once and I was completely..LOST.

If you liked the episodes you saw, you should get the first season DVD and then wait til the summer when ABC reruns the whole season 2 or maybe you'll get lucky and they'll rerun season 1 and 2 during the summer. But don't miss out though! It's an awesome show!
