AUSSIE THREAD....MATE!

Version 2.1

Last one went KABOOM! Most got an email explaining why. I tried to fix it, but it was too much so I deleted it completely. Then my new aussie thread got slammed with deletes, so we'll start anew!

So no more of that, only can discuss Aussie things....

Neighbours
Cricket
Andrew Bogut
Cricket
Talking Boonies
What it means to be Girt by Sea

Enjoy!

Let's talk NRL, I'm a sharks fan.

I can't believe Dykes left us, he was one of the key guys for us last season. He does a great job of organising the backs, an area of weakness for Brett Kimmorley and his flat style of passing and positional play.

we definately dont have the stable middle order that we used to have...even watson is pretty ordinary for a "all rounder"

luckily Hussey has turned out alright or we'd be f'd...

I also am spewing over Symonds continued selection! Crap Bowler and average batsman and not an ALL-Rounder! Only problem is if we drop Symonds, who do we replace him with, Cosgrove!

Thank god that day is over, Christmas happened to be at our house this year. So much cleaning up, so many kids etc.. Right now, hopping on the Net late on Christmas Day and being able to relax is the best present

Odds are his replacement won't be able to play enough games to qualify for the finals, too bad! (I detest Goorjan, Heal and the Kings)

New Zealand has a new import playing for them by the name of Brian Green. I believe he played at Univeristy of Texas San Antonio..I watched him play on Sunday, he was shocking

Everyone noticed Bogut's improved stats of late? He must be Top 12 in FG% in the league.

does anyone like the Twenty20 matches? I read an article saying if cricket was ever gonna make it to the USA, it'll be in that format

I went to the Redbacks game last night, to be honest i'm not sure it'll last through the initial fanfare unless the games get a hell of a lot closer. I've sat through 4 games so far (2 on TV and 2 Live) and each games been a blow out, will end up being a fad IMHO.

yeah basically if your chasing then it adds 10 times more pressure and you get out quicker...I think though once teams work out better strategies then it'll be closer, plus some of the rules need refining, not a big fan of free hits, or the time limit etc, as there are so many variables in regards to the time that cause hold ups not at the control of the fielding side...

maybe they could make it interesting and have electric wicky, only bat down one end up against a bin with the stumps drawn on, use a tenno with a side taped and you can only use those "butter bats"

Do you call it electric wicky in NSW, its a auto keeper in VIC.

I am a master of the taped tennis ball. But when I bat I only have one shot, the slog.

Electric Wicky? This isn't Japan It's always been Auto-Wicky in WA, but Electric Wicky is funny so Im'm going to start saying that.

I think they should change it to one hand one bounce 1 bowl over's hit the car on the full and your out whilst playing on pavement with a huge crack with grass growing out of it.

What does everyone think?
