Police: Two NFL cheerleaders arrested at Tampa bar Renee Thomas (left) Angela Keathley (right) Video Story E-mail This Article Printable Version Tampa, Florida – Two Carolina Panther cheerleaders spent the night in jail after a rough night in Channelside. The Panthers were in town to play the Bucs Sunday afternoon. Witnesses say Angela Keathley and Renee Thomas were engaged in some type of sexual activity inside a bathroom stall at Banana Joe's around 2:20 am Sunday. Another woman waiting to use the bathroom got into an argument with the pair. Police say Thomas punched the woman in the face. When Thomas was arrested, she gave police the name of another Panthers cheerleader. Thomas could face additional charges for lying to police, once they confirm her identity. Keathley was charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing or opposing an officer, while Thomas was charged with one count of battery. The two women were taken to Hillsborough County jail, where they both bonded out later Sunday morning. I'm surprised it wasnt the cowgirls cheerleaders, since they have such good role models ![]() TAMPA, Fla. - North Carolina’s pro football team got rid of two cheerleaders who were arrested at a bar where witnesses told police the women were having sex with each other in a restroom stall. Renee Thomas, 20, of Pittsboro, N.C., and Angela Keathley, 26, of Belmont, N.C., were fired Monday for violating a signed code that bans conduct embarrassing to the team or organization, Carolina Panthers spokesman Charlie Dayton said. The women were not in town to perform at Sunday’s game between the Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. link Last edited by SpursStalker; 11-08-05 at 09:25 AM. |
