The last piece of the ole Hemisfair Arena...

.....is being demolished as we speak! I think the new high rise hotel is being built there.

This was the parking garage right across from the Marriott hotel. I have very fond memories of that place, attending many, many rock concerts, Spurs games and the symphony.

I was heartbroken when I heard the old Hemisfair court burned in a fire. I would have given my left ass cheek for a piece of that floor.

I remember the old play park and picnic areas for parties around there.
I remember that tall rocket with slide. that thing was huge when i was younger.

First game I saw was against the Dallas Mavericks, w/ Ro Blackman, Mark Aquirre and Co...many bittersweet memories from that place.

there was a wax museum at the hemisphere area? didnt remember that? i was only round 4 or 5 years old at the time.

From what I recall the floor was in storage at the Alamodome and there was a fire in the room it was stored in. The fire was contained to just that room, but the old court was destroyed.
